Welcome to Restaurante Beijupirá Olinda, a gem nestled in the enchanting city of Olinda, Pernambuco. This seafood restaurant is not just a dining establishment—it's a celebration of the rich culinary heritage of the region, set against a backdrop of natural beauty and historic charm.

The moment you step inside Beijupirá, the warm and inviting atmosphere envelops you. The decor beautifully reflects the vibrant culture of Pernambuco, creating a unique ambiance that is as pleasing to the eye as the dishes are to the palate. You may want to take a moment to indulge in the captivating views offered by the restaurant, especially from the terrace where dining feels like floating above the beautiful cityscape.

Beijupirá has made a name for itself with an impressive seafood menu that caters to diverse tastes during both lunch and dinner. Guests rave about the black rice with shrimp and octopus and the exquisite fish in chestnut. The dishes are beautifully presented, inviting diners to dive into a culinary adventure that celebrates local flavors. And let’s not forget the sweet finale—many patrons highlight their exceptional desserts like the cocada, a traditional coconut sweet that feels like a blissful hug after a meal.

Customer feedback underscores the restaurant's commitment to delivering an extraordinary experience. Nephi Bushman describes Beijupirá as “unlike any restaurant” he has ever visited, emphasizing how the staff went above and beyond to make his wedding reception magical. Similarly, Hans J. Hausmann praised not just the flavors, particularly the fried yucca, but also the overall experience which he deemed “pricy but definitely worth a visit.” This sentiment is echoed in other reviews, revealing a consistent commitment to quality food and memorable moments.

However, the dining experience can be a mixed bag, as noted by Anna Clarke, who commented on the inconsistent service. While some reviews highlight exceptional attention from staff, hers speaks to a need for improvement in this area. Yet, even amid these minor critiques, the overall vibe and culinary offerings hold a powerful allure that keeps guests returning.

For those looking to make a complete day of their experience, Beijupirá is conveniently located near various attractions in Olinda—take a stroll through the historic streets or explore the vibrant art and culture that permeate the city. This restaurant isn't just a meal; it's a gateway to the heart of Pernambuco.

We love this place so much that we had our wedding reception here. Everyone at the restaurant went above and beyond to accommodate and make it such a beautiful and special experience for our friends and family. It is unlike any restaurant I've ever been in. Truly amazing - you must come here and have this extraordinary experience.

Atmosphere, food and service. Pricy but definitely worth a visit. Loved the fish and the fried yucca.

Beijupirá: A Culinary Ode to Pernambuco’s Rich Heritage Nestled within the vibrant tapestry of Olinda—a city whose name itself is a testament to its beauty—Beijupirá stands as a beacon of authentic Pernambucan cuisine. For those like myself, born amidst the rhythms and flavours of this land, returning to Beijupirá is akin to a heartfelt reunion with one’s roots. The restaurant’s ambiance mirrors the city’s colonial charm, offering a sensory journey that transcends mere dining. Patrícia’s choice of the fish fillet, delicately seasoned with cinnamon and cardamom, accompanied by fried bananas and curry rice, was nothing short of a revelation. The harmonious blend of spices elevated the dish to a sublime experience. My selection, the mixed moqueca—a rich stew of shrimp and fish simmered in coconut milk and dendê oil—was both generous and flavourful, easily satisfying two. Complementing our meal were caipirinhas crafted from an array of fresh, regional fruits, each sip capturing the essence of Pernambuco’s abundant produce. Beijupirá’s commitment to preserving and showcasing the culinary traditions of Pernambuco is evident in every dish. For natives and visitors alike, it offers an authentic taste of the region’s rich gastronomic heritage, making each visit a celebration of culture and flavour.

The food is delicious but the staff were rude, on their phones the whole time and hard to get hold off. Loved the glass elevator descent to the restaurant, lovely view. If open would recommend sitting on the terrace upstairs. Worth a visit for the experience though.

We had a really good seafood dinner last night for three people, a black rice with shrimp and octopus and a fish in chestnut. I chose a sparkly green wine to enjoy this food. In the end, we had desserts, a topper of god and a cocada, and both are amazing. The place is beautiful, we can't stay at the superior balcony, but I think it is the best spot at the restaurant. If you stay for at least 3 days in Olinda, you should go there.

This was the most unique dining experience I have ever had. The restaurant is tucked away in a tree covered hillside. I felt like we were eating in a treehouse. Beijupirá was so visually stimulating. It's a beautiful property with lots to see and amazing views. Not to mention the interesting design element within the restaurant. The food was another level of amazing. The flavor pairings were so wonderful and unique. I don't know that I will ever be able to top this place. During my trip to Brazil, I saw other Beijupirá locations but they were just regular buildings. The unique structural arrangement and how this place blended into the environment was really something special.
